To limit global warming, every person, business and organisation needs to urgently reduce their carbon emissions. Our parent company KellyDeli is on a mission to do just that.
How? Good question. By conducting an annual carbon assessment of our Scope 1, 2, and part of Scope 3 to better understand our carbon footprint and actioning effective carbon reduction initiatives.
Since 2020 KellyDeli has been a carbon neutral** organisation by offsetting its residual emissions including all Scope 1 & 2, and part of Scope 3 (business travels).
In 2022, we improved the accuracy of our carbon footprint by including the impact of our supply chain. The same year we funded a wind farm project in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China. Not only did this replace part of the region’s fossil-based energy supply, it also helped create 200 local jobs. It feels good to do good.
** Carbon neutrality is achieved by balancing the greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere with the amount removed thanks to carbon offsetting projects for instance.
