As an Asian food company, soy plays a key role in our supply chain. The demand for soy has caused widespread deforestation. Particularly in South America.
In 2020 we became a member of the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS). This non-profit organisation promotes the growth of production, trade, and use of responsible soy. Since 2022, 100% of our soy is certified responsible*.
We continue to work with our suppliers to transition to fully physically traceable, deforestation and conversion-free soy.
* Of which, over 65% of the soy used for our salmon feed was non-GM ProTerra certified (traceable). Sushi Daily purchased RTRS certificates for the outstanding volume of soy.
