Big news - We hit our goal of raising 1M euros by the end of 2025 a whole year early!

Our partnership with Action Against Hunger began in 2020, inspired by our founder Kelly’s love for food and personal drive to combat hunger. Growing up in rural South Korea, Kelly experienced the devastating impact of food insecurity first hand. So far our collaboration has allowed us to support the charity's powerful mission to end hunger worldwide - and we’re proud to announce we’ve just reached an exciting milestone…

How? Through multiple initiatives, for example we donate 20p of every pot of forgotten ends and every veggie menu sold straight to the charity!

Here are some incredible things that 1M raised has achieved:

  • Helped save over 22,000 lives from malnutrition
  • Improved health and nutrition for over 150,000 children during the first 1,000 days of their lives.
  • Provided high-quality maternal and child nutrition advice and healthcare to more than 100,000 pregnant women and mothers of children under 3
  • Trained and upskilled more than 4,000 healthcare workers on maternal, infant & young child nutrition practices.
  • Conducted hygiene campaigns to educate communities on the importance of healthy eating and good hygiene practices to help prevent malnutrition
  • Action Against Hunger was recognised by the local government and invited to train over 53,000 Frontline Workers across the state on breastfeeding.

What’s next? We don’t just stop at 1M, we’re committed to raising 2 million Euros by 2028 and will be continuing to support the battle as we move to support an exciting new project…The Rice Farming Project in South Sudan.

South Sudan is facing the world’s most severe food insecurity crisis, with over 7.7 million people facing acute malnutrition or starvation. Due to global warming, lands have flooded at record rates meaning the water can not be absorbed, leading to lost livestock and livelihoods. Its people now rely on water lilies, which hold nearly no nutritional value, and food aid to survive. We want to change this!

The Rice Farming project aims to teach the skill of rice growing in the flooded lands to 500 men and women within the community. Our funding will provide rice seeds and tools, show demo sites and give access to process equipment. This will empower the community and act as a permanent solution, providing a long-lasting source of income to those affected. Our support will:

  • Enable 500 farmers to become food secure and self-reliant within two years, meeting theirs and their families needs while generating livelihood from it too.
  • Contribute to reducing malnutrition among children and nursing mothers.
  • Develop income generating activities, teaching key entrepreneurial skills and providing market access to allow for long-term selling.

We want to thank each and everyone of our customers for helping us make a positive impact in the world around us.

Here’s to the next 1 Million!
