At Sushi Daily we have developed our own unique shokupan bread recipe for our new Sando, working with baker Wayne Caddy. The delicious white shokupan bread is best described as a hybrid of Pain de Mie and classic English Toast. We wanted to pay homage to this utterly fluffy bread, while giving it our own Sushi Daily twist. Our bread is based on the same roux principle as a brioche, but we have enhanced it with a sourdough starter and deliciously sweet oats for an umami-packed taste. Fluffy and sweet, it is more grown-up in flavour and healthier than a traditional white bread.
Sushi-San is like onigiri's big brother
Onigiri is a popular Japanese snack made with crisp, paper-thin nori wrapped around soft, white sushi rice, inside which is a tasty filling. Sushi-san – named in honour of our Master of Sushi, Yamamoto-san – is a grown-up version, offering a more satisfying mouthful. In the heart of each wrap is a flavour sensation. Salmon and herbal cream cheese, prawn mayonnaise, cheese and pickle veggie. And because each Sushi-San is a big handful, there's more room for deliciousness.
